ABOUT
Born in Milwaukee, WI, Christa (Palmisano) Pipitone was raised with three sisters, an Irish mother, and a Sicilian father. She often recalls stories of her childhood—designing the rooms of her dollhouse, mentally rearranging furniture during playdates with friends, and giving interior styling advice just for fun. Her childhood was truly filled with whimsy and wonder, all thanks to her beloved grandmother, which fostered an uncanny ability to transform a house into a home.
Out of Christa’s “use what you have” design philosophy, her business, TCHOTCHKE, was born. It’s about reevaluating what you own and putting it back into your space to give it new life. She can step into any space and create a gallery wall out of thin air, tchotchke a bookshelf, or rearrange furniture all by shopping within your home. She’s a firm believer that the warmth and love needed in every home are found within its treasures, whether that be family photos, heirlooms, or any piece that holds personal meaning. And if you don’t think you have enough, she has the eye to shop for you which often costs less than $500.
Married with three kids that have left the nest, Christa hasn’t stopped doing what she loves. She takes on clients of all kinds, from a days worth of quick re-styling to consulting on fabric or tile choice, furniture, and paint colors. Whatever you need her for, she’ll bring ideas and always a positive attitude.
